Grand Illusion

GRAND ILLUSION

Grand Illusion was written by a good friend named David Young. In full disclosure, David didn’t ask me to write this review, but after reading it, I wanted to share just a few thoughts about the importance of what he has written. He was right when he said, “North American Christianity stands at a major crossroads.”

HOW BIBLICAL THEOLOGY UNDERMINES BIBLICAL FAITH..png

Many Christians today are not looking to the Bible anymore as their source of authority. Instead, they are following their self-inspired theology. It is all too common today to hear statements like, “I don’t believe in a God who would…” That statement is a perfect example of self-inspired theology. To say, “I don’t believe in a God who would…” is to think that your belief about God is more important than who God is. God doesn’t need us to decide what kind of God he is because our preferences don’t change God. Some now are saying something like, “Paul got it wrong on…” (fill in the blank). These statements place our cultural opinions above biblical authority. While some think adapting some of the biblical teachings to our culture will renovate Christianity in our nation, the truth is it will dismantle it. But don’t just take my word for it, Young’s book, Grand Illusion, will give you a behind the scenes look at just what is going on beneath the surface of our culture to cripple Christianity in North America. Order a copy or two and pass it around because we cannot allow self-inspired theology to cover over biblical theology. (Click the shop now button in the top left corner to order your copy)
